Bill Geppert of Cox San Diego to Keynote CTHRA Symposium
Recruiting, Retention and Legal Experts Join the Line Up

Naperville, Ill., January 25, 2006 —The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) announced a line up of distinguished speakers for its Spring Symposium titled “Engaging Employees for Success.” The event will be held on March 9 at the Westgate Hotel in San Diego.

Bill Geppert, regional vice president and general manager of Cox Communications’ San Diego system will provide a keynote address titled “The Race to Workplace Excellence.” Geppert will share insight into the strategies that led to Cox Communications being named the best place to work in San Diego by the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management (SDSHRM). In 2005, SDSHRM awarded its highest honor, the Workplace Excellence Grand Prize, to the Cox system which serves more than one million customers throughout 19 communities and employs 2,400 individuals. During CTHRA’s Symposium, Geppert will share how to create a rewarding and challenging work environment, how to instill a pro-people culture, and how to improve business results by using the voice of the customer.

The speakers for two additional sessions have also been confirmed. Providing a view-from-the-top perspective on “Attracting and Retaining the Best and the Brightest” are panelists Ann Owens, VP of global rewards management at Qualcomm; Sam Bresler, VP of human resources, learning and leadership development for SAIC; Rosalyn O’Neal of Barnes O’Neale HR Consulting; Valerie Chandler of Time Warner Cable; and Lyn Cason, partner at Warren & Morris, Ltd.

Following a networking lunch, attendees will focus their attention on important updates in employment law. “California Legal Update: Marching to the Beat of a Different Drummer” will be moderated by Greg Drake of Time Warner Cable, Joe Freeman of Cox Communications, Terry Greene of Simpson, Delmore, Greene LLP, and Michele Ballard Miller of The Miller Law Group.

Each session will include an interactive question and answer period, and attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers and each other throughout the day
