CTHRA Membership Jumps to 1,500 in 12 Months
Naperville, Ill., January 28, 2008 — Triple-digit membership growth has become a way of life for the Cable Telecommunications Human Relations Association (CTHRA). The nonprofit association announced that 450 professionals joined the organization over the last 12 months raising membership to an all-time high of 1,500 individuals from 100 companies. It marks the third record-setting membership level in as many years. Lynne Ramsey, CTHRA’s president and senior vice president of human resources for Charter Communications, attributes the association’s fast-paced growth to growing demand for industry-specific resources that help companies strategically and effectively recruit, develop and retain quality people. “Talented people are the lifeblood of any successful organization, and the ability to successfully manage human capital directly impacts a company’s bottom line. It’s exciting to see a growing number of HR professionals utilizing CTHRA’s industry-focused benchmarks, best practices and knowledge to assist them in their efforts,” said Ramsey. CTHRA’s members benefit from research initiatives including its annual compensation and human capital metrics surveys, an annual symposium, roundtable discussions, networking and knowledge sharing opportunities, and an extensive online resource center.
