Philadelphia Symposium Will Feature Presentation of CTHRA’s 2006 Research Findings

Inaugural Human Capital Metrics Survey and Annual Compensation Reports

Naperville, Ill., October 4, 2006 —The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association’ (CTHRA) will present research findings from its groundbreaking Human Capital Metrics Survey and esteemed Annual Compensation Surveys during the October 18 Achieving Excellence Symposium in Philadelphia. CTHRA’s research initiatives provide the only industry-specific benchmarks of their kind for cable executives and human resources practitioners.

An analysis of key highlights pertaining to human capital metrics will be presented by Mike Bokina of Saratoga, a PricewaterhouseCoopers Human Resource Service offering which conducted CTHRA’s inaugural survey. The session will feature performance indicators used to measure efficiencies in workforce management including human capital return on investment, employee separation rates, time to fill positions, employee compensation as a percentage of revenue and additional statistics pertaining to organization and operations, human resources staff and structure, compensation and benefits, and hiring and retention. In addition to sharing benchmarks for the cable industry, Bokina will compare CTHRA’s survey results to general industry benchmarks based on data collected from nearly 300 organizations across various sectors.

Hali Croner of The Croner Company will present year-to-year comparisons in collected data and emerging trends in compensation and benefits identified by CTHRA’s annual programmer and operator compensation surveys. Specific statistics will include trends in salaries, incentive awards and equity programs. In addition, Croner will detail how marketplace factors are impacting career roles in the industry.

The presentation of CTHRA’s research findings will be complemented by a keynote address by Steve Burke, COO of Comcast Corporation and president of Comcast Cable Communications, and sessions focused on aligning an organization’s mission with its values and vision and how to operationalize human resources metrics.
