
Charter's Lynne Ramsey Named CTHRA's President
Naperville, Ill., December 18, 2007 — On January 1, 2008, Lynne Ramsey, senior vice president of human resources for Charter Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: CHTR) will begin a two-year term as president of the Cable Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA). Juan Munoz, regional vice president of human resources (HR) for Time Warner Cable's Texas Region, will end his term as head of the organization and will serve on CTHRA's executive committee and board of directors as immediate past president. "Having personally benefited from CTHRA membership, I welcome the opportunity to give back to the organization by serving as president," said Ramsey. "I look forward to continuing CTHRA's legacy of delivering industry-specific research and expanding resources and forums available to assist HR professionals in achieving their business goals," said Ramsey. In addition to Ramsey and Munoz, CTHRA's 2008 officers include: vice president/president-elect Lisa Chang, executive vice president of HR for The Weather Channel Companies; secretary Erin Hand, vice president of talent and development for Cox Communications; and treasurer Julie Cookson, senior vice president of HR for Scripps Networks. Each officer will serve a two year term on CTHRA's executive committee. In addition, Lyn Cason, partner at Warren & Morris Ltd. has been appointed to a one-year term on CTHRA's executive committee with direct oversight of CTHRA's research and development. After several years of valuable service to the CTHRA board, three individuals will end their terms on December 31, 2007: Timothy Goodly, senior vice president of HR for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Brian C. Koenig, senior vice president of HR for Scientific Atlanta, and John "Jack" Jackson, vice president of administration and HR for C-SPAN. Jackson and Koenig both held the role of CTHRA president during their tenure. "CTHRA would not be the relevant, thriving organization it is today without the immense contributions of Brian Koenig, Jack Jackson and Tim Goodly. In October, CTHRA's membership elected three individuals to replace the anticipated vacancies on the board: Adria Alpert-Romm, senior executive vice president of HR for Discovery Communications; Karen Bennett, senior vice president of HR for Turner Broadcasting, Inc.; and Beth Pollard, vice president of HR for Scientific Atlanta. These new board members join the following individuals who will continue their terms on CTHRA's board of directors in 2008: Sheryl Anderson, senior vice president of HR and administration, Starz Entertainment; Linda Chambers, group vice president of HR, Bright House Networks; Rosalind Clay Carter, senior vice president of HR, A&E Television Networks; Dina Galeotafiore, vice president of HR, Comcast; Raymond Gutierrez, executive vice president of HR and administration, Showtime; and Lisa Kaye, president & CEO, greenlightjobs.
