
CTHRA Kicks off New Webinar Series on May 7 The Rules Have Changed: Federal Employment Law 2009 Naperville, Ill., April 13, 2009 — What happens when you combine a new president, 64 new members of Congress, and a recession? An influx of workplace-related legislation! Already this year, the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and changes to COBRA subsidy rules were enacted into federal law. Plus, the Employee Free Choice Act has created quite a buzz. To help industry human resources professionals navigate and comply with the required changes, the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) will launch its 2009 webinar series on May 7 at 2:00 p.m. ET with an informative program titled “The Rules Have Changed: Federal Employment Law 2009.” The webinar will feature a panel of speakers including Christopher Antone, Managing Partner Dallas/Houston of Jackson Lewis; Michele Ballard Miller, Partner, The Miller Law Group; and Mark Hilliard, Senior Director of Legal Services for Cisco Systems.
