CTHRA Calls for Nominations for Inaugural Excellence in HR Awards

Naperville, Ill., April 13, 2007 —For the first time, the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) will formally honor a company and an individual through its Excellence in Human Resources Awards. The organization is currently accepting nominations for two awards: CTHRA’s HR Best Practices Award and CTHRA’s Leadership and Excellence Award.

CTHRA’s HR Best Practices Award will recognize a member company that has successfully planned and executed an HR strategy or series of strategies resulting in increased revenue efficiencies, enhanced cost containment or customer satisfaction.

CTHRA’s Leadership and Excellence Award will honor an HR executive who has demonstrated extraordinary and visionary leadership by addressing a critical business issue, challenge or opportunity in a manner that resulted in enhanced efficiency, performance, cost management or profitability. Leadership Award nominees must be part of the CTHRA membership community and hold a position at or above the director level.

“CTHRA’s awards seek to honor and provide industry-wide recognition for outstanding achievement, leadership and industry best practices in human resources. We encourage companies throughout the industry to leverage CTHRA’s awards program to spotlight deserving individuals and company initiatives,” announced Juan L. Munoz, CTHRA’s president and regional vice president of human resources for Time Warner Cable’s Texas region.

Award recipients will be honored on October 23 at CTHRA’s Achieving Excellence Symposium in Atlanta. In addition, CTHRA will highlight the winners on its Web site and in an issue of its member newsletter, and the awards’ media sponsor, Multichannel News, will feature the winners in its publication. Detailed awards criteria and nomination forms are available at www.cthra.com. Nominations must be received by June 1, 2007 to be considered.
