
CTHRA Seeks Nominations of Individuals and Companies for 2008 Excellence in HR Awards Naperville, Ill., April 24, 2008 — Today the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) announced a call for nominations for its 2008 Excellence in Human Resources Awards. The organization launched the annual awards program last year to provide deserving recognition for one individual and one company within its membership community. The nominations deadline is June 2, 2008. “In addition to shining the light on a deserving company and individual, CTHRA's awards elevate the industry's awareness of the critical impact human resources has on bottom line results. We encourage all of our members to nominate the individuals and initiatives that have made a difference within their organizations over the last year,” said Lynne Ramsey, CTHRA's president and senior vice president of human resources for Charter Communications. Award Criteria To qualify for CTHRA's Leadership and Excellence Award the individual must hold a director level position or higher; be a member of CTHRA; embody CTHRA's vision, mission and principles; contribute to an organization's success; serve as a role model and mentor who motivates others to achieve their best. Last year, Brian Koenig, senior vice president of human resources for Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco Company, received CTHRA's Leadership and Excellence Award.
