
CTHRA to Host L.A. Roundtable on Strategies to Address Demographic Shift of U.S. Workforce Naperville, Ill., July 17, 2007 – As part of its ongoing mission to provide industry employers and human resources professionals with meaningful information and resources, the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) will conduct a roundtable discussion in Los Angeles on October 10 from 8:30 until 11:00 a.m. in the Salon at the Los Angeles Times building. The discussion will focus on how employers can proactively respond to the demographic shift of America’s workforce. The discussion will be facilitated by Linda Akutagawa, vice president of resource and business development for Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP). Since its founding in 1982, LEAP has built a reputation as the nation’s foremost provider of leadership development for Asian Pacifics. “CTHRA’s roundtable in Los Angeles will focus on attracting, retaining and developing talent from growing demographic groups. We’ll discuss best practices employers can implement to help employees succeed while retaining their cultural values,” said Lyn Cason who is co-chair of the roundtable event, a CTHRA board member and partner at Warren & Morris, Ltd.
