What's More Important Than Strategy?
Stephen M.R. Covey will reveal how to fast track success at CTHRA's Symposium

Naperville, Ill., August 14, 2008 — On October 13 in Atlanta, author and business advisor Stephen M.R. Covey will kick off the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association's (CTHRA) Achieving HR Excellence Symposium by illustrating how trust is a hard-edged economic driver which companies and individuals can leverage to propel their success.

Covey is the co-founder and CEO of CoveyLink Worldwide and the author of The SPEED of Trust. Covey advocates that establishing, growing, and restoring trust is the critical leadership competency of the new global economy—more important than vision, strategy, systems and structure. During the opening session of CTHRA's Symposium, Covey will illustrate how trust is a learnable and measurable skill that makes organizations more profitable, people more promotable and relationships more energizing. He will also discuss the concept of the Trust Dividend™ and the 13 behaviors that increase and inspire trust. Immediately following his presentation, Symposium attendees will have an opportunity to talk with Covey one-on-one during a book signing. In addition, each attendee will receive a free copy of Covey's book.

"By combining Stephen M.R. Covey's insight with hard-hitting breakout sessions and an analysis of industry benchmarks garnered from CTHRA's suite of 2008 surveys, CTHRA has created a can't-miss event for HR professionals,"; said Lynne Ramsey, CTHRA's president and senior vice president of human resources for Charter Communications.
