
CTHRA Symposium Will Get Down to Business Naperville, Ill.–The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) has announced that Rabia de Lande Long, an expert in organizational effectiveness, will speak at the Association’s Putting the Best to Work Symposium on October 19 in New York at Ernst and Young’s World Headquarters. Ms. de Lande Long’s presentation entitled “Aligning HR Strategies with Business Goals” will provide insight into shifting from an activity-based environment to one focused on achieving results. The session will also delve into best practices that impact a company’s performance including attracting and retaining winning talent and ensuring the right people are in the right jobs at the right time. As managing director of Chartwell Advisors, Ms. de Lande Long collaborates with clients to improve organizational effectiveness by aligning business strategy, processes, structure and people. Prior to launching Chartwell’s consulting practice in June 1997, Rabia helped create Ernst and Young’s People Effectiveness Practice and Price Waterhouse’s Organizational Change Practice. She works with a number of media clients in New York and Los Angeles.
