ROUNDTABLE SERIES NAPERVILLE, Ill., Sept. 8, 2005 – Recognizing the direct impact that skilled, experienced employees have on the bottom line, thriving organizations are strategically focused on attracting and retaining top talent. To enhance effectiveness throughout the cable industry, the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA) will conduct two roundtable discussions focused on the critical issue of talent management. CTHRA’s first autumn event titled Competing for Diverse Talent will be hosted by C-SPAN at the company’s Washington D.C. headquarters on Tuesday, September 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Debbie Smith, executive director and CEO of the Walter Kaitz Foundation, will facilitate the discussion. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served. Participation in CTHRA’s D.C. roundtable is by invitation. On Tuesday, October 11, CTHRA will conduct a roundtable discussion titled Talent Acquisition and Management hosted by The Weather Channel at the network’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta. Discussions will focus on assessing current market conditions and identifying proven best practices. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and will include a complimentary networking lunch. Participation in CTHRA’s Atlanta roundtable is by invitation. CTHRA’s Roundtable Series provides an industry-specific forum for human resources professionals to discuss current issues and share strategies.
