CTHRA's Symposium a Can’t Miss Event
New Format, Inaugural Awards Ceremony, and Renowned Keynotes
CTHRA continues its distinguished Achieving HR Excellence Symposium series with an event on October 23, 2007 at the W at Perimeter Center hotel in Atlanta. The one-day program will focus on maximizing workforce trends with sessions on human capital metrics, legal issues, workplace flexibility, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and generational issues.
This symposium will boast a new format. In addition to traditional general sessions led by industry leaders and HR experts, the Atlanta symposium will include a CEO plenary session featuring Patrick J. Esser, president of Cox Communications Inc, an awards presentation and breakout sessions.
During the luncheon address, Esser will share insight on how the EchoBoomer generation impacts our industry, both as employees and consumers. Esser has nearly 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He joined Cox Communications in 1979. Today, the company has more than 6 million residential and commercial customers and over 22,000 employees. Cox Communications has earned multiple distinctions in customer satisfaction, diversity practices and company strategy. In 2006, Cox received the highest honor in J.D. Power and Associates' residential cable/satellite TV customer satisfaction study. In addition, Cox Palos Verdes/Orange County is the winner of CTHRA’s 2007 HR Best Practices Award.
The general sessions at CTHRA’s Atlanta Symposium will be led by Edward E. Gordon, Ph.D., president of Imperial Consulting Corporation, and HR expert Row Henson. At CTHRA’s Symposium, Gordon will discuss workforce generational issues and Henson will share findings from her most recent research.
